HORSES FOR COURSES Not surprisingly, Jaguar Journal features lots of stories about the famous Coventry sports racers such as the C-Type and D-Type. Part of the reason Jaguar did so well with their sports car efforts is they targeted specific events such as the long-distance races in Europe. Formula 1 racing even then would have been very expensive and more of a gamble, whereas national-level short circuit racing lacked the global prestige of the classic endurance events.
