About the Author
Remo Faieta, Ph.D. was born and grew up in Abruzzo, a region in central Italy between the Appennini Mountains and the Adriatic Sea. He graduated from the Gregorian University in Rome with a Master's degree in Philosophy, and a Ph.D. in foreign languages from the University of Western Ontario, Canada. In 1967, he came to the United States as college professor and taught in Kansas, Tennessee, and Ohio.
In the early 1970s, Faieta took his foreign language students on educational trips to Italy. Soon, many other people joined the trips. Faieta enjoyed it so much that conducting tours for adults became his full-time occupation. His tours have become popular, especially to Italian-Americans who wished to visit the towns of their family roots.
