The concept of a members-only club really hit peak cool with the concept of Soho House and its myriad chic properties around the globe. It was always going to happen here and finally has – in country NSW, coinciding with a greater appetite for renovation and gentrification in regional areas as people escape city lockdowns and COVID-19. The Berrima Vault House private club, with accommodation open to the public, is the perfect set-up for a satellite hotspot like Berrima, an hour-and-a-half drive southwest of Sydney in the heart of the NSW Southern Highlands. Bowral, Burrawang and Mittagong are minutes away and this picturesque village (population 700ish) and its gorgeous Georgian architecture conjure some very civilised British-countryside vibes.
