Why did you decide to make the move from the beaches of the NSW south coast to the desert of the Northern Territory? I was obsessed with the work of the Hermannsburg Potters, so I just went out there: I was like, I have to go, and I ended up staying. It wasn’t a choice, I had to go – my curiosity got the better of me. I felt very ignorant about what happens in our country and I wanted to learn about Indigenous art and how empowering that can be for Indigenous Australians.
