1 In the owner’s first few years here, the furniture was too big for the space (note the recliners) and made it feel cramped. In addition, everything in it was rectangular, which created a harder look. Over the kitchen bench, a mirrored splashback reflected all the elements in the room and further increased the feeling of busyness. 2 Before, there wasn’t a sense of entrance as all that greeted people was a small TV table.
