Creativity has always been an outlet for me, a way to express myself and a way to spend my time. Whether I was painting, collecting shells, or drawing, I could always find a way to put my imagination to use. I never realized that art was such a huge part of me until I became a mother and fell into a creative block that lasted for years. I lost the urge and passion to create for myself. Last year, after struggling with postpartum depression and my son’s illness with hydrocephalus, as well as managing my sobriety, I once again found the desire to create and get back into the studio.
