Creating has always been a part of my life, to the point that I actually don’t remember the moment when it began. My mom tells stories of watching me come alive as a child when left alone to make things with my hands. This ability gave me confidence and was something that was all mine, which was so necessary later in my childhood when I experienced a very traumatic event. Creativity had always been a grounding and stabilizing force, but after that event it became less of a skill and more of a lifeline. I dove headfirst into one of the most important relationships I’ve ever known.
