Improving Our Acoustics for Hearing the Gospel is a primer in servant leadership. We explore both the inward and outward journey of the Christian life by bringing ourselves to comparable places that Jesus placed himself within our own culture. We draw on Frank's experiences in his thirty year ministry where he has had the opportunity to be with the poor, the least, the last and the left out. We hope each person who reads this book will become a stronger disciple for Jesus by learning to hear with the ears of Jesus and follow him. Frank Dew is the founding pastor of New Creation Presbyterian Church in Greensboro, N.C. He serves as Chaplain at the Greensboro Urban Ministry and Habitat for Humanity. He has served as President of the Servant Leadership School and founding President of Mary's House both in Greensboro. He has led many organizations during his thirty year ministry including People of Faith Against the Death Penalty, Greensboro Housing Coalition and Humans Relations Commission. He has a B.A. from Wake Forest University and Master's in Divinity from Duke University. Jane Murden is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and attends Magill Memorial Presbyterian Church in Roan Mountain, T.N. She is a C.P.A. and has served as Treasurer for the Y.W.C.A., Mary's House and Housing Coalition all in Greensboro, N.C. where she lived for many years. In addition to a full career in accounting she served on other boards and taught numerous bible studies.
