I’m no stranger to gallery walls – above a sofa, over a console, in a line or arranged in grid formation. And there are no hard and fast rules to creating one. You can tie them together with a theme or a matching frame, shape or colour palette. Some people like to keep it within a boundary, others prefer a looser display. I’ve been seeing a lot more whole gallery walls – ones that stretch from the floor to the ceiling, and wall-to-wall, even continue behind furniture (controversial!). No longer does a picture or dado rail stop you; it’s all about filling the space in abundance.
