Jesus reveals the Father through the names he used to describe himself.
As Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus is 'the exact representation of his [the Father's] being', we have the opportunity to view the Father through the lens of the Son in these identifying phrases. This study looks at Jesus' 'I AM' passages from John and passages in the Old Testament which echo the heart of the message of these statements.
This study challenges participants to a) deepen understanding of the Old and New Testament, b) increase intimacy with God through study of his character and name, c) study how Jesus reveals the Old Testament.
The study is appropriate for small group or individual study and is divided into 8 sessions, which all include observation, interpretation, and application questions.
