When you’re not even 13 years old and you’re financing the purchase of a car with your lunch money, it’s safe to say that you’re an undernourished auto nut. That’s where it all started for Larry Dunn. He bought his first car, a ’37 Plymouth, for one dollar down and a dollar a day, excluding Saturday and Sunday. No school, no lunch money. Larry has owned quite a variety of interesting street rods, show cars, and race cars since that first one. His latest effort combines all three types of equipment into one ’65 Mustang 2+2. Larry yanked the original mini-mill and three-speed tranny. Power is now produced by a ’66 Buick 425-cubic-incher running a Hubbard reground cam, Edelbrock log manifold with six 97s, Logan headers, 9-quart pan, and reworked…
