The majority of today’s high-performance components are geared to the die-hard racer and his competitive machinery. Of course, this is exactly what the sport needs to increase performance standards and arouse new spectator interest. Now, if we analyze the spectators a little, we’re likely to find many with keen interests in performance who can’t afford a complete race car. So they usually take whatever transportation vehicle they own and set out to complete a dual-purpose interest car. Without “cubic bucks,” the majority of these guys go about this task with the help of boltons — for instance, bolt-on headers, bolt-on manifolds, tires, gears, shocks, and the like.
