The big bike revival has hit hard; almost every major motorcycle manufacturer has a super road-burner either in the street or on the drawing board; and Moto Guzzi, pioneer bike builder from Italy, is no exception. Although you, like me, may quarrel with the bulbous front-end styling of their 700cc V-twin, this is one of the most pleasurable and smoothest of the big tourers that I’ve yet to encounter — absolutely silken at 80 mph. By all means, don’t overlook it in your quest for a large cruiser. The engine really isn’t that large in displacement; in fact, it is undersized at 43 cubic inches for the weight of the bike, precisely 539 pounds gassed to the brim.
