With the constant changes and improvements made on the Volkswagen, you’d think that long before now one of “der elves” at Wolfsburg would have come up with a trick little oil filter for the VW — kinda like the one Fram offers. We understand the kit has been sold in Europe for some time and is now available in the United States. Our introduction to the product came from Dean Lowry, who showed us in about three minutes how the filter kit can be installed in any of the forty-horse and newer cases. No drilling, no tapping — just bolt and unbolt; boy, is this thing keen! Remove the fan belt and unstrap the generator from the cast stand upon which it rests. Then unbolt the stand.
