… LAS FIESTAS PATRONALES DE ARNEDO TIENEN MÁS DE 400 AÑOS DE ANTIGÜEDAD? En esta localidad riojana se vienen celebrando desde fecha tan temprana como 1576 las fiestas en honor de San Cosme y San Damián. A las 5 de la mañana de cada 27 de septiembre empieza el festejo cuando los lugareños –oriundos de Arnedo (La Rioja) y Andosilla (Navarra)– cantan las “auroras” y se encaminan desde la puerta del Cinto a la iglesia de Santo Tomás, donde tiene lugar una misa. A su término, comienza en el patio una guerra de jotas y, a las 11, la procesión con los santos, que finaliza a las puertas de templo consagrado a estos.
