Eran tiempos en los que la opinión de un filósofo era seguida y admirada. Unamuno llenaba salas de conferencias y cada paso que daba era importante. Qué tiempos aquellos… El apoyo de Miguel de Unamuno al bando nacional cuando se produjo el alzamiento fue usado y abusado como una patente de corso del mundo intelectual a las tropas franquistas. Unamuno era contradictorio; consideraba que la República le había traicionado, pero tras las primeras arremetidas de los nacionales…
