A PESAR DE LA IMAGEN DE UNA IGLESIA MONOLÍTICA ALINEADA CON EL RÉGIMEN DE FRANCO DE PRINCIPIO A FIN, NO FALTARON LAS VOCES DENTRO DE SU SENO QUE SE ALZARON CONTRA EL DICTADOR. EN MADRID SE CONCENTRARON EN LOS BARRIOS DE LA PERIFERIA Y TEJIERON UNAS TUPIDAS REDES CON LA OPOSICIÓN. ESTA ES LA HISTORIA DE LOS CRISTIANOS REBELDES EN EL MADRID FRANQUISTA.

EL PRIMERO DE LOS MOVIMIENTOS CATÓLICOS DE BASE FUE LA HERMANDAD OBRERA DE ACCIÓN CATÓLICA (HOAC), FUNDADA EN 1946 Con el establecimiento y desarrollo del sistema capitalista e industrial en España en la época franquista, empezaron a desarrollarse grandes polos de crecimiento económico en el país, especialmente en la grandes ciudades industriales (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao…) que provocaron un auge y un aumento de zonas obreras en estas grandes ciudades españolas, a donde se trasladaron, especialmente a partir de los años 50 y 60 una gran cantidad de mano de obra inmigrante, y que se empezaron a hacinar en condiciones pésimas en los barrios obreros de las periferias de Madrid (Carabanchel, Moratalaz, Vallecas, Alcobendas….), lo que motivó a las jerarquías católicas a movilizar su aparato de propaganda en esos barrios para…
