UN BOTTICELLI AL MEJOR POSTOR

El Retrato de Michele Marullo Tarcaniota, la única obra de Sandro Botticelli en manos privadas en España –pertenece a la familia Guardans-Cambó–, salió del país para ser subastado en la galería Trinity Fine Art de Londres, pese a que, en 1988, fue declarado Bien de Interés Cultural (BIC). La venta habría sido posible siempre que la obra no se desvinculara de España y cumpliera con los requisitos que se exigen a cualquier BIC. Fue en 1929 cuando el político regionalista Francesc Cambó adquirió la obra, tasada hoy en unos 60 millones de euros y pintada por el maestro del Quattrocento en 1491.
