Nunca vería publicada su monumental obra debido a su prematura muerte por enfermedad, pero sin duda es un trabajo a tener muy en cuenta. A través de esta obra, su contribuye a desmontar gran parte de la leyenda negra que rodeó a la soberana y a su esposo Felipe II.
