Arrabal comenzaba una conferencia en la Universidad de Zaragoza… Lo primero que hizo fue levantarse de la mesa y romper la distancia con los espectadores –gesto teatral– y charlar durante una hora caminando entre las filas de sillas. Los temas iban variando, el nexo común que le permitió contar numerables anécdotas, como cuando trató inútilmente de seducir a Gala (esposa de Dalí). Era "El formidable teatro de hoy", donde hacía hincapié en el sentido de la palabra "formidable": “Han caído los titanes y empiezan a surgir los dioses.
