‘Angela is a beautiful woman... very smart, very caring and very loving’ It’s been an unforgettable year for Spanish golfer Sergio García. Not only did he win the US Masters in April but he is now blissfully happy after marrying his soulmate, American sports journalist Angela Akins. Witnessed by 80 close friends and family, the couple married at Angela’s family’s ranch in Texas. And for the bride and groom’s first dance, to Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years , Sergio wore the green jacket traditionally bestowed on the Masters winner, which he teamed with a tie and shoes in the same colour. Angela, meanwhile, was radiant in a sleeveless lace gown by Austin-based designer Laura Gonzalez, which she accessorised with earrings by Kendra Scott and, of course, her emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.
