I am every woman...almost.
I've gone from will I ever go steady to WTF I'm a grandmother.
Upon high school graduation I was given two books: a Webster's Collegiate Dictionary and The Joy of Cooking. Academics or housewife, I was told you'll need both. Women are both and so much more.
I've punched time clocks, changed diapers, changed careers and changed ink cartridges because now writing what I observe, and feel is like every woman's story...almost.
In this book are some of my previously published op-eds, essays, articles, and columns which are wrapped in the force and fallout of why I wrote what I wrote and what happens after. Life fills in and around the edges.
During my eye-blink of time on this precious planet a lot has changed. One thing has not.
Humans are flawed, funny, and wonderfully resilient. Some are scary too. All of that is what makes them the best subject to write about...almost.
