Hey! Odessa here again. I'm having the best day. Brodie is back, and I'm so excited I can't sit still. But then his ghost vanishes. I guess it didn't help I acted like a dope and fainted when he popped into my bedroom. But, come on, it's been over three years since I've seen him. A witch is allowed a little fainting action.
But he's back. And I'm keeping him. Forever. Happy days. My friends don't think so, and Sol is miserable. But... it's Brodie. My one true love. It's all I've ever wanted. So why isn't everything simple now he's here?
I won't be defeated, and I find a solution to my problem when a charming ghost with a winning smile and a plea for help comes to my assistance. Zohar has just died, but his body is missing, and he's sure he was killed. The problem is, the Magic Council is stuck for clues. You can guess what's coming. We strike a deal. Zohar helps me keep Brodie stable and I find out where his body is and how he died.
I've still got the Magic Council keeping an eye on me, so helping with this murder should give me a few gold stars. But Brodie is a distraction, and he's troubled. All I want is to get him back. But what about Sol? Is there a place in my life for my warm-hearted, honest friend who's never let me down?
I deal with the clues, find the killer, and hand things to the Magic Council. Do you think that rush through the evidence will come back and bite me? It does. And hard.
And when I finally get Brodie to stick around and talk, he gives me an impossible decision. I always said I'd give anything to be with my one true love, but what if I was wrong?
Oh! And if anyone sees my useless familiar, Tuffin, send her my way. I don't know where that cat's gotten to. I should have known better than to take on such a sassy familiar.
Enjoy one final magical ride with Odessa, Tuffin, and the scarecrows as they solve the puzzles, avoid being arrested again, and figure out a future that'll make everyone content.
Is such a thing possible? There's only one way to find out.
