DIRT PIES

Would you like to eat a mud pie? Who wouldn’t want to sink their teeth into the edible slugs on top? Don’t tell anyone, but these pies are actually chocolate-filled yummy treats. Hopefully everyone else will think they’re mud and you can eat them all by yourself!

YOU WILL NEED (MAKES 8 PIES) ● Mini pastry shells (cases)● 5 oz (150 g) chocolate buttercream frosting● 2 ready-made chocolate muffins● 2 tablespoons golden superfine sugar● 2 oz (75 g) black ready-to-roll fondant● Handful of chocolate-covered raisins● Handful of mint leaves and chives● Metal spoon● Mixing bowl● Knife 1. Spread a teaspoon of chocolate frosting into the bottom of each pastry shell and use the back of a spoon to smooth it down. 2. Crumble the muffins into a bowl and stir in the sugar. Sprinkle on top of the chocolate frosting. 3. Sprinkle a little more sugar on top of the crumbled muffins to resemble sand. 4.
