TOXIC WASTE

This mini trash can is overflowing with toxic nuclear waste! Well okay, the green foam isn’t really toxic (shhh!) but this fun experiment creates an exothermic chemical reaction that heats up to create a very exciting mess!

YOU WILL NEED FOR THE TRASH CAN ● Large yogurt container with plastic lid● Gray acrylic paint● PVA glue● Paintbrush● Black duct tape● Scissors● Pipe cleaner● Black marker pen FOR THE FOAM ● ¾ cup of hydrogen peroxide*● 2 tablespoons dishwashing liquid● Green food coloring● ½ oz (14 g) fast-action dried yeast● 1¾ fl oz (50 ml) warm water● Cup for mixing● Spoon● Safety goggles and gloves 1. For the trash can, mix equal parts gray paint and PVA glue together and paint the outside of the yogurt container. The PVA glue helps the paint adhere to the plastic.
