Maya Clark's family hotel is barely staying afloat. Lucky for them, the old schoolhouse across the street is for sale, just waiting to be turned into a restaurant-the kind that could keep them from going under. But before they can get to it, the building is snatched up by handsome newcomer Tanner Sullivan.
Maya is pretty sure that Tanner is a misogynist jerk. So she never thinks that there might actually be a good guy beneath that silent glare of his. Not when he winks at her from down the bar, or when they get trapped in a thunderstorm together, or when he asks her what she wants in that low, sexy voice of his.
If Maya can get the old schoolhouse back from Tanner, then maybe she can keep her family's business from going under. But the more Maya gets to know him, the more she realizes that getting the old schoolhouse back isn't the only thing she wants from him.
The tension between them is thick enough to cut with a knife, but Maya knows it's a bad idea to sleep with the enemy. So she definitely shouldn't do it.
