This book is a collection of passages, rites, practices, and rituals from various famous Grimoires. It is a cluster of the most obscure and powerful invocations, ceremonies, and pacts, and it explains their history and origins while it refutes certain myths surrounding Ancient Grimoires, and discusses the theology therein.
Originally written by Arthur Edward Waite, as an attempt to synthesize many famous Grimoires into one system, it was first published with the title "The Book of Black Magic and of Pacts" in 1898 in a limited run, until it was republished with the title "The Book of Ceremonial Magic" in 1910.
Through the years, and the countless scans and re-prints of the original, the images that were circulating in modern publications were "corrupted" to the point of becoming hard to distinguish and their text illegible. Until now!
The illustrations in this book come from enhanced scans of the original seals, symbols, and artwork. The scans have been enlarged, traced and painted over by hand and then re-scanned in order to improve the texture and make the lines and letters more legible. Finally, the images in this publication have been placed on the pages on a larger format (original size) so they can be recognised, read, and copied easily, in order to make this Grimoire functional.
