I HAVE ALWAYS loved dressing for a new wintery season. Big coats? Yes please. Giant cosy jumpers? Just a bit. Uggs? A thousand times, yes. But tights? Pass. Perhaps it was childhood angst from tugging at too-small tights or the grim ‘sagging’ feeling, but hosiery has always passed me by. Except, for autumn/winter 2022, tights have taken over; they were sheer and scarlet at Sportmax, opaque pink at Valentino and thick, chunky wool at Chanel. You can take inspiration from the FROW, where street stylers and A-listers upped the ante, switching bare legs for intricate netting or subtle black polka-dots.
