Sunday Treat When I was a child we lived in Pax, W.Va., a small community with a lot of churches. I remember at least six different ones while I was growing up there in the 1950s. Since it was a very small community of just a few hundred people (less than that now, I’m sure), it was difficult to fill the pews every Sunday. The Church of God congregation bunched together in one building with two other congregations. I decided I would attend there, and so did many of my classmates. Every Sunday was about the same.
