Sydney’s popular Moore Park golf course remains under threat as an 18-holer after the NSW Government doubled down on plans to cut the course in half. Citing the “need to deliver open spaces that support greater density in the right places” a spokesperson from Greater Sydney Parklands said: “The NSW Government remains committed to transforming 20 hectares of Moore Park South into public open space, while retaining a minimum nine-hole golf course, driving range and clubhouse.” In November, the Moore Park Club Collective – representing Golf NSW, Golf Australia, PGA of Australia and Moore Park GC – put together a blueprint for community usage of the land while retaining Moore Park as an 18-hole course. “The alternative proposal prioritises the preservation and enhancement of Moore Park Golf Course, positioning Moore…
