We were having dinner on Saturday night during Ford New South Wales Open week and Golf NSW media manager David Tease had an idea. We had just finished watching Corey Lamb, or “Chops” to his peers, and about half of the Hunter Valley blaze their way past Lucas Herbert and into the next day’s final group in the hunt for the revered Kel Nagle Cup. Teasey wondered aloud if it was too late for the rest of Lamb’s legion of followers to make the drive from Newcastle to Murray Downs in the state’s remote southwest and, so, he did the Google maths to check it out.
