Try a scissor-free, braided undercut

With a few tight, well-placed plaits, suddenly you’re a tough chick for the night.

1 Wash and condition hair with nourishing products. Then mist a salt spray from midlength to the ends while your hair is damp and blow-dry hair haphazardly with a round brush to create a rough, uneven texture. Wrap random sections of hair around a tapered curling iron for subtle bends. 2 Starting above the arch of one eyebrow, create a deep side parting that extends from your hairline all the way to the nape of your neck. Clip the side with more hair out of the way. Focusing on the ‘undercut’ portion, take three very fine sections from the hairline close to the temple. 3 Begin to French-plait toward the back of your head.
