AS SOMEONE WHO DOES a fair amount of scratchbuilding and kitbashing, I sometimes can’t remember how I assembled a model. That really throws a wrench into the works when it comes time for maintenance or troubleshooting. When you add in the complexities of third-party control systems, there’s a whole lot of information that’s easy to forget over time.
It’s important to keep track of the “whats and hows” of your equipment and related railroad items so that when you want to sell it, you can tell prospective buyers what they’re getting and how it works.
