Explore a Rainforest

Tropical rainforests are filled with strange creatures, plants, and smells. You may think that you will never be able to explore one. But you can find a bit of a rainforest right now in your KITCHEN or at a GROCERY STORE! All you have to do is LOOK and SMELL. Close your eyes and think of a rainforest as you sniff any of these things: BANANA – Bananas don’t really come from trees. They grow from very big plants. Banana plants once grew wild in the West African rainforest. Now they are grown in tropical areas around the world. The first banana was brought to the US in 1804.
