Did you know that all insects are cold-blooded? The praying mantis is a fierce hunter, but she can’t make her own body heat. She relies on the air, sunlight, and ground around her to give her warmth. If it's sunny and warm, she will have lots of energy. But if it’s chilly and she gets cold, she will slow down or even stop moving. The praying mantis is an intriguing insect. Each part of her body enables her to be a skilled hunter. Like all insects, she has six legs.
