"From Food Stamps to Favor" is a triumphant story about Kandra Albury's transition from a life stricken by poverty to discovering her truths, passions, purpose and walking in the favor of God. Kandra shares in detail how growing up on the system shaped her life and drove her success.
When Kandra found herself walking in her mother's shoes as a divorced mom of two at 27, she resorted to her mother's endearing example of determination, wisdom and love to beat the odds. She turned to her grandparent's legacy of faith and perseverance to heal from childhood sexual abuse and go on to help her daughter overcome the abuse she faced at the hands of her own father. Through this book and her children's book titled, "Don't You Dare Touch Me There," she addresses the subject of body safety and empowers children to stand up for themselves.
In "Food Stamps to Favor," Kandra eventually realized that she was created to conquer, made to master and born to beat the odds!
