Hello friends. Mike Cothrine here. I'd like to welcome you on this journey together.
I'm really excited that you joined me. First I'd like to say that I've never had any intention to write a book. Matter of fact, the idea of it was quite daunting. The 5 top things I probably would never want to do would include writing a book.
Things changed one morning when I was running on the beach around 4am. One of my routines is to listen to something that either I'm learning from or that inspires me. Along this run I got an intuitive nudge that I should write a book. Now I had no idea what it would be about, but what I have learned in life is when you get those intuitive nudges, you should take action. As soon as I got back to my house I grabbed a notebook and began writing, after a flow of inspiration that I can't explain, and three hours had passed when I put the pen down. A few more days came and went of similar inspiration, and more hours of writing, and then about a month later this book was complete. And so I'd like to say: Welcome on this journey we are all on together -- and with that being said, it's freedom time. Maximize your time and energy and launch with me into making the most out of your life.
I think if we're all honest with ourselves, when it comes down to it, our two most valuable resources are time and energy. Now most would definitely say time, but in order to make the most out of your time it requires energy. You can have all the time in the world, but if you don't have the energy to do anything with it, you're screwed. Some would say at our essence Energy is what we are.
Now if that's true, wouldn't it make sense that in order to maximize your time, you need to maximize your energy?
Now for me, I would not only include your physical and mental energy, but your spiritual energy as well. Just the other day I was speaking in front of several hundred people and I asked the question, "How many people in here want to make the most out of their lives?" I thought this was a no brainer question and that everyone would raise their hands, but to my surprise, only about a fourth of the people in the room raised their hands; definitely not even half. Crazy, right?! Well I thought so, too. I thought maybe my microphone was off or maybe I wasn't clear, so I repeated the question but with the same result. For a moment I was stumped, because what was to follow or what I originally planned to say was based on the assumption that everyone would raise their hands....
