The Dutch FFA ploughing match was held on 3rd September. This time in Veendam. 28 ploughmen came to compete, and we had four classes mounted, trailer, parallel and reversible. There was a 30-hectare field with nice soil to plough by kind permission by H S Agri from Zuidlaarderveen. After coffee and cake the ploughmen were sent to their plots, the sun came out and the weather became lovely and it was nice to see all the blue tractors working in one field. The judges went round and even gave some tips to improve competitors ploughing. By15.30 all the plots were done, tractors and ploughs were cleaned up and loaded ready for the journey home.
