The .300 AAC Blackout (otherwise known as the 300 BLK) is a very popular if often misunder stood cartridge. It is in fact currently the second most popular chambering in the AR 15 platform, sec ond only to .223/5.56. Of course, 90+% of all AR 15s are chambered in .223/5.56, so there’s a big gap between #1 and #2, but that’s still pretty amazing when you con sider that, under its current name, .300 Blackout has only been around for a decade.
