At age 12, he was forced to emigrate to the United States the night power changed hands in Cuba, January 1 1959, The book is divided into two sections: Cuba (before 1/1/1959) and Exile (after 1/1/1959). Major challenges induce him to turn into a Superhero, (Superboy) who grows to become an adult, (Superman) who overcomes some of his childhood weaknesses.
The author, (Orlando Garcia-Piedra MD) asks his family ghosts: Mom, Dad and his brother, Humberto, and God for help in writing his memoir. They accept and become his coauthors, leading most "conversations."
