There is something special about the Christmas season. A quiet stillness sits in the cool air as we wait with wonder and anticipate the celebration of the One who has come as a descendant of Abraham to bless all the families of the earth.
The King of kings came as a baby over 2,000 years ago, not born to royalty in a shiny palace, but born in a manger next to the animals' trough. Why was royalty born in such an odd place? Because God's ways are not our ways. They are higher. In fact, His ways are often the exact opposite of our own human perspectives which leaves us in awe at the wonder of His love.
The Middle English word advent means arrival or approach--the Latin prefix ad meaning toward and ven meaning to come. The celebration of someone special is coming!
Please join us as we celebrate the gift of His presence--that special silent night when God sent a baby to us, for us.
It's time to prepare our hearts for the Holy One to come. You will not want to miss this season. Please join us!
Many Blessings, Mindy Lee Hopman
