THE FAIRIES ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN is a children's story but as C.S. Lewis once said, "One day you'll be old enough to read fairytales again"
Enjoy this delicious story is by 8 year-old Hadley and her grandmother, Gigi
Hadley and her daddy live a few blocks from the beach in Blaine, Washington. The very best view from their cottage-style home is in the loft which is accessed by a tall ladder. It's there that Hadley has a window facing desk with a perfect view of Birch Bay and Mount Baker. She noticed that even when the weather was dreary, it always looked like it was sunny on the other side of the mountain. That got her thinking about what it was like beyond that majestic peak.
She shared these thoughts with Gigi who started asking countless questions about what Hadley imagined was there. From these conversations a beautiful story of fairies and magic emerged. Gigi kept saying, tell me more and quickly wrote down all of Hadley's thoughts as fast as she could.
Hadley was adamant that the fairies were to be uniquely beautiful, that together they could do great things and that kindness towards others was the happy ending.
"It's so true that kindness is the answer. What was the question?" Gigi
"Your dreams can take your further just like a fairy that's carried off by a summer breeze" Hadley
