CHECKERED PAST That white paintwork with the red, light blue, and dark blue stripes is as iconic for BMW racing cars as the pale blue and orange Gulf livery is for Porsche. The latest cars to wear the storied color scheme are the BMW Team RLL Z4 GTLM racing machines. They do so in tribute to the ’75 IMSA 3.0 CSL, which brought BWM Motorsport’s first victory in the United States at the 12 Hours of Sebring, fighting off Corvettes and Porsches.
