En los últimos años la figura de Parsons ha sido reivindicada en distintos ámbitos. Parsons y Marjorie protagonizan uno de los episodios de la serie Lore (Netflix), y sus experimentos, así como su deriva ocultista, son la base de la serie Strange Angel, que produce Ridley Scott. Hay quien apunta una gran similitud entre éste y el personaje de ficción de Marvel Tony Stark, creador de la armadura Iron Man.
