Daniel Boshears is familiar with the AMSOIL Engine Masters Challenge competition. Starting as a volunteer team member with other competitors, he jumped into the fray two years ago with a stroker 5.7 Hemi. The engine looked promising, but an unexpected failure curbed the effort after the first pull. The factory cast-in rocker stands simply were not up to the load, splitting like a dry oak log right where the rocker bolts secure.
