Michel Dorion souhaitait devenir chef cuisinier quand il était adolescent et jeune adulte. Il a toutefois fait un virage à 180 degrés à la suite d’une soirée dans un défunt bar du Village, à Montréal. L’expression de ses talents artistiques ne passerait pas par la cuisine, mais par la scène. «La drag, c’est arrivé par hasard. À mes 18 ans, mes amis m’ont emmené pour la première fois dans le Village, à l’ancien cabaret L’Entre-Peau. J’y ai vu un show au cours duquel on a annoncé la tenue d’un concours amateur.
