Dragons have been my favorite mythical creature since I was a little boy. It began for me with tales of Saint George and the Dragon as well as Bruce Coville's Jeremy Thatcher, Dragon Hatcher and carrying on to Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis' original DragonLance books and beyond. As my love of reading also morphed into a love of writing, I began to weave tales of these magical monsters of myth. Monsters...that's what much of Western culture collectively has seen dragons as, although that has shifted in more modern times. As I conceptualized the Muses of Mythology Anthology series, I knew that I wanted to begin with dragons. And I knew that I wanted to share tales where they were seen not as monsters, but rather for the majestic, glorious beings they are. So, Dragon Dreams was hatched. In this beautiful collection of both poetry and short stories, you will be regaled with tales of dragons in various historical settings from the 1700s to our current time and even into the future of science fiction renown. You will meet dragons both great and small. Tears will be shed and laughter shared. But magic will also always be wielded. Featuring the famous dragon author, Maria Grace, and many other authors both established and new to the fantasy world of writing, Dragon Dreams holds a story for anyone who loves dragons.
