Skye Mountain Rescue Team found the items on Tuesday around a kilometre south of the Quiraing car park, on the slope leading up to Bioda Buidhe.
Images show a grey and green sleeping bag, bent walking poles and a bin liner. Another shows the full contents, which were found strewn near the car park including black trousers, a dark grey North Face hoodie, red socks, black shorts, boxers and yellow waterproof trousers.
The popular hiking trail near Portree is described as a "moderately challenging" route. It gets steep suddenly so walkers are warned to know their limits.
