Despite Morocco getting 14 hours of daylight in February during the AMR, riding at night is essential to stay ahead of the time cuts. A rear light is mandatory, but it’s front lights that need the most consideration. Light failure is one of the most frustrating reasons for having to pull out of a race so think about your choices carefully. Dynamo front hubs are a smart choice, as they can be used to charge a power bank during the day as well as lights at night. But be aware that the output of most dynamo lights will not be sufficient for safely navigating technical terrain in darkness.
