Cara and Grandma chanted their magic poem. "Dance to the left, circle to the right, ring Daisy's bell, and hold on tight."
Lastly, Cara yelled, "Three, two, one, let's have some fun!" Then, she jingled the bell on Daisy's collar.
They rose into the air and whisked around and around. When they opened their eyes, they were in a new land and were wearing new clothes. Cara and Grandma had on white dresses that flowed to the ground and Daisy wore her Adventure Crown. The Adventure Crown was special because it allowed Daisy to talk, just like people!
Daisy looked up at them. "Come along. There is much to show you."
Join a girl, her talking cat, and her grandmother, as they take the journey of a lifetime to Egypt to meet the second woman pharaoh, Hatshepsut. Travelling to Djeser-Djeseru and The Temple of Karnak, Pharaoh Hatshepsut teaches the trio all about her reign.
As pharaoh, Hatshepsut ruled for over twenty years. During this time, she instituted trade and even fought alongside her soldiers in battle. Many years after her death, someone destroyed many of her statues and tried to erase her from history but this book aims to provide an incredible look into Pharaoh Hatshepsut's story.
In her first picture book, Karen Mae sets out to satisfy the curiosity of all the tiny travellers and the lifelong learners in your life. The vibrant illustrations inside Curiously Cara Meets Pharaoh Hatshepsut keeps little learners entertained while they journey throughout time.
This is a great book to read at home or inside the classroom.
